East Haven, CT. Recount. In November 2007 the local election required two recounts for the Mayoral position. As a citizen journalist I attended and digitally documented the event. This event was history making in many ways. First the new optical scanning voting machines were being used for the first time, the first female mayor might be elected and the youngest mayor might be elected. I created this slide show to simply explain to the public the recount process
