The Digital DivideWhile working on my masters degree at Quinnnipiac University I became interested in the digital divide. After extensive research I wrote two papers examinig this phenomena. Living in New England where populations are dense and technology is abundant some people don't believe that the digital divide still exists. My examination of the phenomema provides proof that the digital divide exists in the United States and impacts the democratic process. The first paper draws from many sources and makes the connection between the digital divide, education and participation in the democratic process. The second paper examines the role of the public library in closing the gap in the digital divide exspecially in rural communities.

The Medium is the MessageA paper examining the meaning of Marshall McLuhan’s famous statement "The Medium is the Message". Citizen JournalismWhy must Citizen Journalists fill the information gap left by mainstream media?
